Sporting Valley Turf Farm was founded by Bob Hummer in May 1969 near Manheim, PA. What started out as a 5 acre field on his parents potato farm has grown into 325 acres of production in the heart of Lancaster County, one of America’s richest agricultural areas. Through hard work and determination Bob grew the business and established the company philosophy of quality products and first class customer service. While our operation has evolved and expanded our goal has stayed the same, provide our customers with prompt service and quality, fresh cut sod.
